St Patrick’s Day will be celebrated in style by children and parents as they board a specially kitted out steam engine dubbed The Shamrock Express.
The train will depart Epping Ongar Railway in High street, Ongar, adorned with a giant shamrock during the weekend of March 15 and 16.
Among the passengers will be Whirling Skirmish, an Irish music group, who will be performing live in the carriages.
Other activities include face painting and refreshments.
