People are being asked to complete a survey about a proposed dementia plan to support dementia sufferers and their carers.
The Healthcare for London Dementia Services Guide has predicted dementia cases will increase by 17 per cent by 2021 in Redbridge.
It was reported 2,262 people in Redbridge had the condition in 2012.
Because of this the council has devised the Redbridge Dementia Plan for 2014 to 2017 to improve services and support for people suffering with dementia.
The plan involves helping people to stay independent for as long as possible and providing good quality information and advice at every stage of the condition.
It also involves providing accessible care and support services and raising awareness of the condition in the local community.
Residents have until April 28 to complete the survey, which can be found here
