Seven people have been arrested in connection with the murders of two men in Leytonstone.

Aaron Carriere and Josiah Manful were found stabbed to death in Montague Road in the early hours of Saturday.

Four men - two aged 18, one aged 20 and another aged 22 - were arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder.

Following their arrests a 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder and a 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

This afternoon another man was arrested in connection with the investigation.

Police have not released his age.

All seven people remain in custody at an east London police station.

Post-mortem examinations showed the cause of death for Mr Carriere, 21, to be stab wounds to the neck, while Mr Manful, 20, died from shock, haemorrhaging and stab wounds to the chest.

The men were found at around 1am on Saturday in a vehicle suffering injuries and later pronounced dead at the scene.
