The sentencing of a man who killed a cyclist while drink-driving has been adjourned.
Kingsley Gordon-Allen, 20, of Ashville Road in Leytonstone, knocked down 56 year-old Edward Orrey in Gainsborough Road, near Leytonstone Tube station on February 9 last year.
The father-of-four, from Penzance, had been working on the 'Cheesegrater' building in Leadenhall Street when he was cycling back to his van in Leytonstone at around 6am.
An inquest in February last year heard how Gordon-Allen, who was driving a silver Peugeot 206, failed to stop at the scene and the abandoned vehicle was located a short while later in Bushwood, Leytonstone.
Gordon-Allen pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving while unfit through alcohol at Wood Green Crown Court on January 17.
Gordon-Allen was remanded in custody to be sentenced today at Wood Green Crown Court but due to pre-sentencing reports not being ready, it has been adjourned to March 14.
