Live music and a fair marked the official completition of £700,000 street improvements.
Waltham Forest Council carried out the work in south Chingford as part of a £9million worth of improvements across Waltham Forest.
The work, completed earlier this year, included the refurbishment of shop fronts in Albert Crescent and restoration of stone work on the parade.
The clock and barometer above the shops was also repaired.
