A smart phone app has been launched offering interactive information about a historic town.
The Waltham Abbey app created by Epping based Swivel Creations is aimed at helping tourists and shoppers to take advantage of what the town has to offer.
Launched on Saturday in Market Square in the town, the free app can now be downloaded for the iPhone from the App Store and for Android phones from Google Play.
The App cost about £3,000 with £1,500 from Waltham Abbey Town Partnership and the rest from Epping Forest District Council and £10,000 from the Portas fund received by the town from central government.
