Labour's bare faced lie over policing
Chutzpah doesn't come close. Labour's attempt to clam credit for Boris Johnson's decision to provide Waltham Forest with 119 extra police officers is a bare faced lie - and they know it!
Waltham Forest council has no say over police numbers and the Labour Party no influence. If they had their way there would be fewer police and more traffic wardens.
Perhaps the Guardian should start running a "Whopper of the week column", sponsored by Waltham Forest council ?
