Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after cash machines were damaged.

The suspect approached the ATMs in The Broadway, Loughton, and tampered with card reader slots, causing £200 worth of damage and taking the machines offline.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on February 12, but police are only now appealing for information.

Investigating officer, PC James Bloomfield, said: "It's not clear at this time whether the suspect was just aiming to cause damage to the machines or whether he was hoping to carry out some sort of scam by disabling them.

Anyone with information is asked to call PC Bloomfield on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
