Two rides have been planned this summer

Family cycling events are to be held this summer.

The first, to mark two years since the opening of the Olympics, will take place on July 27.

The 26-mile route will take in the Olympic White Water site then progress through east London.

A lunch stop will be included along with a brief tour of the Olympic Park before returning to Waltham Abbey.

Tour de Epping Forest will be held on August 24.

The route for the day will start at Debden House Campsite head to the south of the forest for lunch before climbing up to High Beach for some great views on the big top.

The cost is £3 for an adult and £2 for a child with their own bike, or £6 to include bike hire.
