A 19-year-old accused of murdering two men in Leytonstone was remanded in custody after appearing in court.
Devonte Campbell, 19, of no fixed abode, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with murdering Aaron Carriere, 21, and Josiah Manful, 20 in Montague Road, Leytonstone, earlier this month.
Campbell, one of 12 people arrested in connection with the murders, but the only one to be charged.
Aaron Carriere, 21, and Josiah Manful, 20, were both stabbed multiple times in a car before being pronounced dead at the scene in Montague Road at around 1am on March 1.
Campbell is due to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.
