Woman robbed in Leytonstone taxi office

Police have released CCTV images of a man who robbed a woman as she waited in a taxi office.

The 30-year-old victim was tagetted by the man as she waited for a cab at Goldline Cars in Church Lane, Leytonstone, on February 19 at 7:40pm.

CCTV footage shows the man walking past the cab office to speak with a second man outside a neighbouring post office.

Seconds later, he ran into Goldline Cars and snatched the woman's gold iPhone 5.

The woman then grabbed the thief’s hands, but she was pushed away.

The thief then left the office, turned right into Church Lane and ran towards Leytonstone High Road.

He is described as being in his late teens to early twenties, 6 ft and of medium build.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Julian Thompson of Waltham Forest's robbery unit on 101 quoting the reference number 4903691/14.
