A man charged with murdering Aaron Carriere and Josiah Manful in Leytonstone has been remanded in custody today after appearing at the Old Bailey.

Devonte Campbell, 19, of no fixed abode, was held in custody ahead of his next appearance on May 28.

Two men, aged 18 and 20, and two youths, aged 16 and 17, arrested yesterday, in connection with the investigation were bailed to a date in late April pending further enquiries.

A total of 17 people have been arrested in connection with the murders.

All have been bailed except Campbell.

The pair were found stabbed in a black Ford Fiesta in Montague Road, Leytonstone on March 1.
