Exotic arrangements inspired members at the latest meeting of Ongar Flower Club.
Rekha Naidoo's ‘Inspirations of India’ was made up of six arrangements inspired by the country, last week.
Bright colours put a spring in members’ step as they learnt about Indian traditions and the use of cardamom pods in arrangements.
Peacock feathers and palm leaves were used to create a ‘Birds of Paradise’.
Club member Jennifer Stone said: “We all came away with a greater appreciation and understanding of the Indian way of looking at flowers and indeed the celebration of life - it had been an exceptional evening.”
The next meeting will be held on April 1 at the Zinc Arts Centre, from 7.30pm.
Guest tickets cost £4.50. For more information call Jenny Stone on 899727.
