Two children were among 13 people who were rescued as a blaze broke out at a Walthamstow restaurant this morning.
Seven men, four women and two children were rescued from the first and second floor flats above Flaming Steak Grill at the junction of Hoe Street and Albert Road.
They were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
The fire brigade reported that it was called at 7.55am and had the fire under control by 8.37am.
A small section of the restaurant was damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
