Patients are at risk in a dental practice which has no arrangements for emergencies, the Care Quality Commission has found.
Inspectors warned Ilford Dental Practice, in High Road, that it must improve emergency provisions and training of staff in a report published today.
The practice will have to write a report by Saturday setting out how it will meet standards.
The report said: "One member of staff told us that they had not been given any training on fire safety or first aid.
"They also did not know about any emergency drugs kept at the surgery. There were no checklists to show that equipment and medication was in place and checked on a regular basis.
"This meant that there was a risk that, should a patient collapse in the surgery, the dentist or the staff would be unable to help if medication or life-saving equipment was required."
The Guardian was unable to contact the practice today as it was closed.
