A religious group is hosting a conference aimed at tackling prejudice, with civic leaders and senior police officers set to attend.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association has organised the Essex Peace Symposium, aimed at removing misconceptions and promoting the integration of different cultures in Britain.

The group is part of a movement founded in 1889, with worldwide membership exceeding tens of millions.

Civic leaders and senior police officers will be attending the meeting at 4pm on March 29 in Theydon Bois village hall in Coppice Row.
