A children’s centre closed by Essex County Council will be allowed to host sessions in village halls.
From the end of this month, staff at Little Buddies nursery will be using the Woolard Centre and Roding Valley Hall to host sessions for under fives.
During a parish council meeting chairman Aniket Patel said that the council had a “moral duty” to ensure that the services do not leave Buckhurst Hill.
A review of the arrangement will be held at the next parish council meeting.
Parents attending sessions will be informed of dates and times by Spurgeons, who currently runs them.
Little Buddies, in Lower Queens Road, which provides free play sessions and one-to-one support for parent, was axed due to cuts to children’s centres across the county.
A re-structure of services aimed to save £2.3m.
