Police bail has been extended for the driver of a van which hit a pensioner last year.
Emelie Buckner was walking her dog in Alderton Hill, Loughton, when she was struck by the vehicle at around 7.30am on October 10.
The 78-year-old former nurse and teacher who lived in the town died at the scene.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He will answer police bail on April 28.
