Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly showing interest in signing West Ham defender Winston Reid at the end of the season.

Reid, who also captains New Zealand’s national team, has also attracted attention from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal, as well as Spurs, according to tuttomercatoweb.com.

Reid enjoyed a successful World Cup in 2010 before joining West Ham, and could potentially be the solution to Tottenham’s defensive problems, which includes an injured Michael Dawson, an injury prone Younes Kaboul, and Jan Vertonghen, who is rumoured to want to leave if Tottenham fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Reid, who suffered a three month lay-off earlier this season, due to an ankle injury, has featured 15 times for West Ham this season, scoring one goal and collecting eight clean sheets in the process.
