The sentencing of a jewellery thief has been postponed.

Mahmoud Mahmoud, 23, of Bushwood Road in Leytonstone, admitted stealing four bangles worth £8,000 between November 1 and January 1 from Amira Omar, who lived at the same address.

He was due to be sentenced at Thames Magistrates’ Court today but the hearing was adjourned as pre-sentence reports were not ready.

He has now been scheduled to appear on Thursday at the same court.
