Two men linked to the killer of British soldier Lee Rigby will appear in court today over terrorism offences.

Ibrahim Abdullah-Hassan, 28, of Carr Road in Walthamstow, and Shah Jalal Hussain, 31, of Cannon Street Road, in Whitechapel, face multiple counts of breaching the Terrorism Act.

It is alleged they published lectures calling for a holy war against the West on or before May 24 last year, and in doing so encouraged terrorism.

Abdullah-Hassan, also known as Abu Nusaybah, was arrested after an interview on the BBC's Newsnight programme claiming that his friend Michael Adebolajo had been offered a job by MI5.

Last month Adebolajo was handed a 45-year minimum term for murdering Lee Rigby in a Woolwich street in May.

Both men deny the charges.
