A GP who successfully fought off the closure of her local A&E department is to visit Waltham Forest this weekend.
Dr Louise Irvine, a Lewisham GP of two decades, is visiting Chingford and Walthamstow on Saturday to talk about Whipps Cross Hospital.
She will stand at this year's European parliament elections in May as a London of the newly-formed National Health Action (NHA) Party.
Dr Irvine will be based along Station Road in Chingford between 11-12pm, and at Walthamstow market between 1pm and 3pm with Waltham Forest NHA group members.
The NHA political party was launched by doctors and health care workers in November 2012 in opposition to the government reforms of the NHS.
