An arrest warrant was issued when a man accused of stealing over £330 worth of razor blades and £1,400 worth of glasses failed to appear in court on Friday.
Gleb Nikitin, 23, of Capworth Street in Leyton, allegedly stole the goods from shops in Newham on October 22.
He had been ordered to stay each night at his home until his bail ended on Friday, but he failed to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court.
An arrest warrant was issued and a new hearing date was set for April 4 at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
He denies the charges.
