Images of people suspected of a racist attack on an innocent group of friends have been released.

The group of seven had just left The Slug and Lettuce bar in George Lane, South Woodford, at 2am on November 9 when they were racially abused and attacked.

Anil Chadha, from Leyton, was knocked unconscious and his friend Samra Singh was also attacked.

Police have not explained why the images have been released more than four months after the attack.

The group of friends lodged an official complaint with the Metropolitan Police for not collecting CCTV promptly after the attack or visiting the victims.

Anyone with information is asked to call 0208 345 2669 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Another case of incompetence and disinterest by the police, you would have thought they would have learnt aster the Lawrence fiasco but no they have not. The police in London were once the envy of the world and have been reduced to a laughing stock commensurate with the Keystone Cops.
