Generations of families turned out to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a popular nursery.
The event marked the success of Sunshine Nursery in Waltham Abbey, which has been providing childcare for a quarter of a century on the King Harold Academy site.
Owner Julie Holmes organised a celebration to thank hundreds of families who have supported the nursery over the years.
She said: “It was a lovely day. The children sang a selection of nursery rhymes and we had tea and cake afterwards.
“It’s like a second home. I’ve devoted my life to the nursery so it’s nice to hear all of the good things that people have to say about it.
“Some people talk about their own time here. Amy, the first ever child we had came along with her baby.
“The town mayor had a look around and said how lovely it was.”
