A business has given away thousands of daffodils to primary schools in Waltham Forest, Redbridge and the Epping District as part of a Mother's Day gift.
Pupils were visited by a team of staff from four high street branches of the Co-operative Funeralcare and given daffodils, ribbons and stickers to help decorate the flowers ahead of this Sunday.
They visited Chapel End Infant School in Beresford Road, Walthamstow, Selwyn Primary School in Selwyn Avenue, Highams Park, Thomas Willingale School in The Broadway, Loughton, and Wanstead Church School in Church Path.
Funeral arranger Debbie Dexter, of the Winchester Road branch in Highams Park, said: "I had this idea and I ran it past management and it was approved.
"We will be visiting 17 reception classes and giving out 550 bunches of daffodils to children so teachers can help dress them up to take home on the Friday before Mother's Day."
Approximately 500 children will benefit from the huge daffodil giveaway.
