The date for Loughton’s annual fun run has been announced.

This year, Town Mayor Cllr Jill Angold-Stephens is hoping that people of all ages will turn up to support Chigwell Riding Trust on April 6.

Mums with buggies, young children and dogs on leads are all invited to give the three mile route a go and raise money for disabled riders.

The run starts at 10.30am from the tennis courts at the end of Roding Road in Loughton with a 10-minute warm-up session for participants prior to the klaxon.

Participants are encouraged to go at their own speed and all will receive a medal.

Deborah Hall, the manager of the Trust will be bringing along one of her ponies to the event.

There will also be a bouncy castle for the children and hot refreshments for the supporters courtesy of the local guides.

You can register in advance by downloading the form from the council’s website, www.loughton-tc.gov.uk or just turn up on the day itself.

There’s no sponsorship to arrange and this year’s entry fees are £10 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family ticket.
