A party has been announced to celebrate the re-opening of a park and children's play area.
As part of Waltham Forest Council's on-going regeneration programme, £2million was invested in refurbishing the plaza park and play area in Wood Street, Walthamstow.
The area has been closed for most of this year as refurbishment works take place.
These include improved play equipment and new facilities, such as a tree platform and climbing frame.
A new public footpath has also been added from the plaza to Wood Street Indoor Market.
To celebrate the re-opening, Wood Street's First Events Committee has organised a party at the park on April 12 from midday to 3pm.
Entertainment includes an appearance from Disney mascots Mickey and Minnie, a clown, balloonist and a magician. Children could also win prizes in the Easter art and fancy dress competition.
