A man will face trial on Monday charged with attacking a woman and stealing her smart phone.

Daniel Durnin, 20, is accused of hitting the woman and, acting with another man, stealing her Samsung Galaxy S3 phone worth £400.

The alleged incident took place on August 8 in Homefield Close, Epping.

The Stockton resident pleaded not guilty to both charges on January 1 and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’.
