The pilot who died in a plane crash on Saturday has been named.
Andrew John Sully was behind the controls of the YAK 52 aircraft as it went down in a field off the A414 near Cooksmill Green, between Ongar and Writtle.
Simon Paul Chamberlain, 29, from Harlow, was the passenger in the plane who was also killed in the incident.
The crash happened shortly before 3pm, soon after the plane had taken off from North Weald airfield.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch is currently looking into the cause of the crash.
