Art events at a park have been announced for April, with an art exhibition opening this weekend.

The events, organised by City of London Corporation, will take place at the Temple in Wanstead Park.

The flower art exhibition starts on Saturday and will run until June 29 on weekends from 12pm to 5pm, featuring the work of local watercolour artist Barbara Sampson.

People can attend an afternoon of drawing and painting on April 13 from 1pm, and are being encouraged to bring their own flowers.

A close-up photography workshop will also take place in the park on April 13 from 2pm.

Excellent news, I have been to events here, highly recommend them. You can cycle through some of the park as well with authority.

@VillageCranberry Bigot! You cycle through the park with authority because if anyone gets in your way you throw cranberry on them! I will personally be patrolling the park from now on to make sure this occurence does not persist! And to make sure that noone has to throw a perfectly good white t-shirt away because you have stained it with your special cranberry ray.

Yours sincerely,
