An Easter egg collection has been launched for a children's charity.

Marks & Spencer in High Street, Epping, is collecting eggs, along with Epping St John's School and Ivy Chimneys Primary School, for The Dream Factory’s Easter party on Thursday, April 17.

The party, to be held at The Waltham Abbey Marriott hotel, will feature a hunt for eggs donated to the charity.

The children will be joined by three of the charity's patrons - 'Allo 'Allo star Vicki Michelle, former boxing champion Colin McMillan and EastEnders star Terry Alderton - for a day of face painting, glitter tattoos and other entertainment.

The Dream Factory grants wishes for seriously ill and disabled children.

Founder Avril Mills said: "It will be a great afternoon with plenty of food and fun for the children.

“I'm really pleased that three of our patrons will be coming along to join the party and would like to thank everyone, especially the Marriott, for all their support in making the party happen."

Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing has donated an Easter egg to the collection.
