A mother has pleaded for a ‘neighbour from hell’ convicted of racially harassing her to be evicted.

Tracey D'Rozario, 41, of Knights Way in Woodford Bridge, has made a “cry for help” to landlord Swan Housing and Redbridge Council to act over an ongoing dispute with Michael Feeley.

He was issued with a restraining order following the conviction which prohibits him from loitering outside Ms D’Rozario’s flat and speaking to her or her 14-year-old son, which she claims he has repeatedly broken.

Ms D’Rozario says she has been told it could take up to a year to evict Feeley, while the housing association has offered to move her to Billericay or Basildon.

However, she does not want to take her son out of West Hatch School in Chigwell.

Ms D' Rozario said: “He really is a neighbour from hell. He harasses me and my son and it really terrifies me.

“I am scared something is going to happen to me or my son if I am forced to continue living here.
“The only alternative is to live permanently in a bed and breakfast, which we may have to do if we don't get any help.

“I am a full-time worker so my son is left at home on his own after school in the early evening and I fear for his safety. I am forced to phone him to check he is OK.

"This is a cry for help. Redbridge council needs to evict my neighbour or Swan Housing need to find me a flat in the area, if not then I just don't know what to do."

Police have confirmed they are investigating an allegation that the restraining order has been breached.

Michael Feeley refused to comment.

A spokeswoman for Swan Housing said: “Residents are at the centre of all that Swan Housing Association do, and we remain committed to working with our partners the Police, Community Safety Teams and Redbridge Homes, to find a satisfactory solution for our resident as soon as possible.”

Redbridge Council has been asked for comment.
