Food and garden waste collections in Waltham Forest will take place on a weekly basis throughout the summer.

The council said increasing the frequency from once a fortnight will make it easier for residents to recycle food waste and rid homes of unwanted food odours during the warmer months.

Extra collections of residents' brown bins will start this week and take place until October 3.

We received a note through the door last autumn/winter to say the brown bin collection would be reduced to half during the winter/autumn season. Now spring/summer is back, this just means the collection is back to what it was last year anyway?

Agree. This seems just an opportunity for Loakes to stick his face in front of a camera when the seasonal change reflecting brown bin collection frequency happens each change of season.

Now how was I supposed to know about that? I just happened to come across this article on here.

I haven't seen the council propaganda paper for months and have no reason to check the council website every day either!!!
