A teenager has become the 18th person to be arrested over the murders of Aaron Carriere and Josiah Manful in Leytonstone.

Scotland Yard said an 18-year-old man was held today and is in custody at an east London police station.

All but one of the 17 others arrested are on bail until later this month.

16 males aged between 16 and 22 have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Devonte Campbell, 19, of no fixed abode, will appear at the Old Bailey on May 28 charged with murder.

Aaron Carriere, 21, and Josiah Manful, 20, were found dead in a car in Montague Road at around 1am on March 1.

Post-mortem examinations found Mr Carriere died of stab wounds to the neck while the cause of death for Mr Manful was given as shock and haemorrhaging and stab wounds to the chest.
