The sentencing of a woman who let her boyfriend hide a double-barrelled, sawn-off shotgun in her Walthamstow house has been delayed again due to an ill judge.
Shereen Lawrence, 34, of Hillcrest Road in Walthamstow, and boyfriend Sunny Taiwo, 34, of Holt Road in Beckton, were due to be sentenced at Inner London Crown Court in early March but Judge Roger Chapple was placed on long-term sick leave just ahead of the hearing.
Sentencing was postponed indefinitely, with the situation to be reassessed on Monday.
But Judge Chapple will not be returning to court next week, a court spokesman said, and the hearing has been indefinitely postponed again.
On February 4 Lawrence was convicted of possessing a prohibited firearm and Taiwo was convicted of 10 firearms offences.
Lawrence was released on bail and Taiwo is remanded in custody.
