A park’s disused tennis courts will be transformed into a games area, it was announced today.

Vision RCL, who manage parks on behalf of Redbridge council, have been successful in securing £20,000 to convert the site in Valentines Park, Cranbrook Road, Ilford.

The Mayor of London’s Sports Facilities Fund grant will be used to repair the surface and fencing, install two multi-use goals for basketball and football, and repainting the surface with new lines.
