A motorcyclist has admitted to failing to stop for police while driving dangerously and without insurance.

Charlie Jay, of Little Friday Road in Chingford, pleaded guilty to four offences at Thames Magistrates Court on Friday.

The 21-year-old admitted driving a motorbike dangerously, failing to stop when required by police, driving without insurance and possession of cannabis.

Jay was arrested and charged on March 19 following reports of a moped speeding between north Chingford and Chingford Hatch just after 5pm.

Several police cars and a helicopter were involved in the incident last month.

He has been remanded on unconditional bail ahead of the sentencing at Thames Magistrates Court on April 15.
