A community group is helping to raise cash to fix a church tower clock.

The timepiece at Waltham Abbey Church, in Highbridge Street, Waltham Abbey, stopped before Christmas and all three automatic winding units must be replaced, at an estimated cost of £15,000.

Keep It Local Waltham Abbey has organised a fundraising egg hunt, with donations coming from businesses in the town.

The event will take place on April 21 at 2.30pm in Waltham Abbey Gardens, behind the church.

Entry will cost £1 for children and 50p for adults.
