Campaigners accused Sainsbury’s of trading with companies which participate in Israeli violations of international law.

The Waltham Forest Palestine Solidarity Campaign claims firms producing citrus fruits, mangoes and dates for Sainsbury's grow food in illegally occupied areas of Palestine.

It is also claimed companies operating in illegal settlements contribute to the destruction of Palestinian agriculture.

Sainsbury’s says none of the products it sources from Israeli suppliers are grown in illegal settlements.

We all need to read the supermarket produce labels or we might be funding occupations and oppression while shopping for our groceries. We have choices, unlike many other people, and we should make sure they are ethical.

The question has to be asked. Why is the Guardian allowing itself to be used as a tool by hate filled protestors ? How was this pack of lies planted as a news story ?
A few facts are required.

1. The West Bank was formerly Jordanian territory. Following a war in 1967 in which Arab states attempted to eliminate Israel, Jordan no longer claimed the West Bank as it's own. It is therefore a disputed territoty, like many other parts of the World - Cyprus, Russia, Ireland etc.

2. The Palestinians have been guilty of major violations of International law.

3.The Palestinians openly advocate an Apartheid system, preventing Israelis living in the West Bank, whilst Arabs living in Israel have the full rights of any Western Country.

4.Why are these protestors not calling for a boycott of Syria ? 150,000 Syrians murdered, & tortured .Poison gas attacks on civilians - 250 killed every day.

5. Direct peace negotiations are currently taking place between Israel & Palestinians. But the 5 women protestors in the photo just want Israel - the only democracy in a violent region destroyed.

6 Their protest will have NO effect.
Uk trade with Israel is worth £billions. Thats why Cameron visited last month, Milliband is there now, & the Rolling Stones are performing in Israel next month !

Exactly. This was a few weeks ago.

Do they only want comments in support of the protesters? Only idiots who dont know the facts would support them anyway.
