A second teenager charged with the murder of two friends in Leytonstone has appeared in court.
Casey Jones, 18, of Walthamstow, is accused of murdering Aaron Carriere, 21, and 20-year-old Josiah Manful.
The victims were found stabbed to death inside a car parked in Montague Road, Leytonstone, on March 1.
Jones was arrested and charged last Wednesday.
He is accused along with Devonte Campbell, 19, of no fixed address.
Appearing at the Old Bailey this morning, Jones has been refused bail and remanded in custody to enter a plea at the same court with Campbell on May 28.
In total, police have made 18 arrests in connection with the killings, with 16 of them being released on police bail until later this month, including a 46-year-old woman accused of assisting an offender.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service just before 1am on March 1 following reports of two injured men.
Mr Carriere and Mr Manful were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Post-mortem examinations held on the same day found Mr Carriere died of stab wounds to the neck while the cause of death for Mr Manful was given as shock, haemorrhaging and stab wounds to the chest.
