A man accused of growing cannabis in Leyton is due to appear in court today.

Jonathon Smith, of Boscombe Avenue, was charged with cultivating cannabis and diverting electricity to do so on March 25.

Smith, 48 and unemployed, was arrested on January 7 following a raid on the Leyton property.

He is scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
