Artwork created by two Epping Forest primary school pupils to promote recycling will be shown on council vehicles.
Belle Liggitt, six, from Epping Primary School, and Patsy Stow, 10, from Alderton Junior School, won Epping Forest District Council’s recycling art competition.
Pupils across the district were asked to design a poster addressing the questions of why recycling is important today and what materials can be recycled.
The winning artwork was selected from over 1,000 entries and will be used as part of the council’s next recycling campaign.
Belle and Patsy Stow were also presented with vouchers to Chessington World of Adventures and their schools received cheques for £500.
Each will see their pictures appear on the side of the district’s refuse and recycling vehicles next month and vehicles bearing the designs will be visiting Epping Primary School and Alderton Junior School in the next few weeks.
