Epping Town Council will launch a blue plaque scheme to commemorate famous people connected to the town.
The decision to introduce the heritage scheme was made at a council meeting last night.
The first plaque will mark a property in Ravensmere, Epping, where author Sir William Addison lived.
Other sites highlighted for the scheme include the Marks and Spencer building, in High Street, where Sir Winston Churchill addressed constituents during his time as Epping MP.
Epping will adopt a similar criteria to the successful blue plaque scheme in Loughton.
