The author of a series of books enabling people to learn history quickly is to host a library event.

Rupert Colley will discuss the Histor in an Hour books and answer questions at Wanstead Library on April 17 at 6.30pm.

Colley was a librarian in Enfield for 22 years before launching the series in 2009.

There are 29 books in the series, covering subjects ranging from Adolf Hitler to wars in Afghanistan.

The books are billed as 'history for busy people', with each book only 50 to 60 pages long.
