A girl group has been chosen as the first official buskers for Wembley Park.

Woodford Green-based Xyra beat six other finalists to take top prize of the first official busking slot at the site, which includes Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena.

Members Nadina Knight, Amy Hannam, Beth Mills, Sasha Macintosh and Laura Keetley, all in their early 20s, also won £1,000 at the London Designer Outlet Music Talent Search.

Nadina Knight said: "We’re all absolutely thrilled to have won London Designer Outlet’s Music Talent Search Competition.

"All the finalists were of such a high calibre, that we were in complete shock.

"We love hitting the shops at London Designer Outlet, so we’re really looking forward to taking up the official busking spot at Wembley Park."
