A total of £40,000 was raised for Haven House Children's Hospice after 19 runners took on the London Marathon in aid of the charity.

The fastest runner and highest fundraiser on Sunday was Kelly Vincent from Buckhurst Hill, who completed the run in 3 hours 37 minutes, raising £6,800 in the process.

Also completing the course was Haven House supporter Eddie Hearn, vice-chairman of Leyton Orient, who raised £5,000 for the hospice.

Mother and daughter Victoria and Shanna Barton, from Clayhall, completed the course together in 6 hours 52 minutes.

A total of £40k was raised for the Woodford Green based hospice.
