A support service has been awarded £42,000 to help unpaid young adult carers.
Redbridge Carers’ Centre was awarded the grant through a partnership between the Carers Trust and The Co-operative Group.
A spokeswoman for the Ilford-based centre said existing services for those between the ages of 14 and 25 who care for someone who is ill or frail, including training and counselling, will be enhanced with the money.
