The ladies of Epping Bowls Club will no longer have to "bump bottoms" after new changing rooms were opened.
Mayor Will Breare-Hall officially opened the new facilities at the club.
The previous changing rooms were 28 years old, but grants from Epping Town Council and Grange Farm Trust made it possible to replace them.
Secretary, Anne Munro said: “The previous rooms were so damp and small but now when we bend over we don’t bump bottoms any more.
“We are looking forward to using the new rooms and hopefully we will get a few more recruits this new season. Bowls keeps many of us out of mischief.”
