A woman from Epping is part of the team behind a new World Cup song.

Jo Tapper, 39, who grew up in Laburnum Road, Epping, is part of the ‘Buster Team’ who have released a new song and video just weeks before the World Cup gets underway in Brazil.

The song We’ll Do It Again features a host of celebrities including Simon Cowell, Jonathan Ross, Jamie Oliver and Gary Lineker, all performing the Buster dance with mascot Buster, the English ‘Footbull Terrier’.

Mrs Tapper and her team came up with the idea four years ago, when, after losing so many family members to cancer, they decided to raise money for charity.

After targeting the world cup to promote their cause, the team decided to create a song and have chased celebrities all over the country to get them to feature in the video.

Mrs Tapper said: “We have been harassing and hounding celebrities, standing outside gates, shouting their name. It’s been very difficult, very time consuming and taken a lot of persuading.”

The song not only features famous figures but also members of the general public.

“It’s an English themed song so we thought it would be really nice to gets fans and members of the public, who make England what it is, involved. It’s something for everyone.

“Hopefully everyone will be singing along through the World Cup.”

The song will be available to download from Monday and all proceeds go to Cancer Research.
